Bibi Gaston will be back in June!

Bibi Gaston will be back at the Simsbury Free Library on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 to discuss her new book, Gifford Pinchot and the First Foresters: The Untold Story of the Brave Men and Women Who Launched the American Conversation Movement. Join us from 5:30 to 6:30 for wine and cheese and then we will head over to the Simsbury Public Library for Bibi’s program at 7:00 p.m.

From firstforesters.com : “In 1905, practically no one knew what a professional forester was or why a trained and tested cadre of men with badges and green uniforms should be sent out like satellites into the darkest, most barren reaches of America. But Pinchot knew: conserving America’s resources meant not just conserving her water, trees, and wildlife, but finding the individuals who were committed to conservation and putting them to work.”

Books will be available for purchase ($22.95 each) and there will be a book signing after the program.

The event is co-sponsored by the Simsbury Free Library and the Simsbury Public Library. Reservations can be made by contacting the SFL at 860-408-1336 or at programs@simsburyfreelibrary.org, or through the public library at 860-658-7663 or at www.simsburylibrary.info.
