Genealogical Resources

Our library has a wealth of information that is available for you to utilize while researching your family. We have a robust collection of family surnames, histories and genealogies as well as Connecticut town, county and other New England state histories. Our collection includes DAR lineage books and other hereditary journals. Our employees and volunteers have created a marriage index for Simsbury, (ca. 1849–1877), a death index for Simsbury (ca. 1847–1892) and obituary abstracts for Simsbury and the vicinity (ca. 1922-2006). Our staff also provide Genealogical Research Requests and we have a list of helpful genealogical links. Ancestry.com’s Library edition is available for use to all patrons (in-house use only).
