The Simsbury Probate Records Collection contains legal documents that were created by the town court between the years of 1897 and 2003. The Probate Court is statutorily empowered with jurisdiction over a variety of family matters including the administration of estates, the appointment of guardian of minors, appointment of guardian of the intellectually disabled, appointments of conservator for the incapacitated, and the approval of adoptions.
